In 2000 The Survey Association (TSA) identified an urgent need for survey technician training and in response
we developed a course tailor-made to meet this requirement.
The course is delivered at The Survey Centre in Worcester over a two year period with three two-week training blocks per year and is also open
to non-TSA members.
The course has been favourably received by the industry and participating companies, and the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors recognise
successful completion of the course as a route to technical membership.
In June 2008 the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) followed suit and recognised that successful completion of the course will provide
50 points towards the 100 points required for RICS Tech Membership.
TSA are actively working towards obtaining an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship for the course and once this has been obtained the course fees
should be refundable under the various local training initiatives that exist.
